At 2: 37pm on Friday, PIA flight PK-8303 crashed near Karachi’s Model Colony area.
KARACHI, MAY 22 – Prime Minister Imran Khan has ordered an inquiry into the tragic plane crash incident. The plane was reportedly carrying 91 passengers and eight crew members.
In his tweet, the prime minister said that an immediate inquiry in the crash incident will be instituted.
Imran stated that he is shocked and saddened by the PIA crash. He maintained, “Am in touch with PIA CEO Arshad Malik, who has left for Karachi & with the rescue & relief teams on ground as this is the priority right now.”
He said, “Prayers & condolences go to families of the deceased.”
At 2: 37pm on Friday, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight crashed near Karachi’s Model Colony area. The flight PK-8303 was enroute from Lahore to Karachi.
The plane, A320 Airbus, was scheduled to land at Jinnah International Airport when it developed some technical fault. Several homes and vehicles were also destroyed in the crash incident.
Till filing of the report, rescue operation was still underway.
