PM asks bureaucrats to manifest dedication of 60s era

ISLAMABAD, Sep 01 (DNA): Prime Minister Imran Khan Saturday had a meeting with Provincial Secretaries of Punjab at CM Secretariat in Lahore.
Chief Minister Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar was also present during the meeting.
The Prime Minister highlighted the role of bureaucracy in steering the country out of various challenges that the country faced today.
The Prime Minister observed that difficult circumstances require tough decisions; the reform agenda of the present government requires wholehearted commitment of the bureaucracy coupled with performance to translate the vision into reality, the Prime Minister stated.
Your performance would be the only consideration for the present government. We will provide you opportunity and will not interfere in the functional domain, as we demonstrated in KPK, that produced unprecedented outcomes, assured the Prime Minister.
Referring to the era of 60s, the Prime Minister said that we expect civil servants to manifest same dedication, commitment and professionalism.
The Prime Minister stressed upon the need for improving governance, service delivery, transparency and promoting merit at all levels in order to capitalize the immense potential of the country.
