PEF calls for data of out of school kids from partners
LAHORE, Feb 01 (DNA): The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) has directed school partners attached with phase 15 of its Education Voucher Scheme (EVS) to submit details of 6 to 16 year old children who have never been to schools, or have been struck off from the schools for at least six months through its computerized online student information system maximum by February 22.
According to a circular issued by the Director (EVS), these children would be issued vouchers to study free of cost in PEF partner schools of choice. Education Voucher Scheme is a public private partnership based school education program for providing free education to the children of low income families in the Punjab.
The purpose is to help the needy communities to improve their quality of life through education. The EVS has been proved very successful in meeting educational needs of such communities. Today this scheme is serving successfully in all the districts of the province. DNA
