Pakistan, Turkey agree to forge cooperation in diverse fields
ISTANBUL, 14 APR, (DNA) – Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to forge cooperation in diverse fields including energy and infrastructure.
Pakistan and Turkey have agreed to forge cooperation in different areas including defence, economy, energy, infrastructure and science and technology.
The understanding came during meeting of President Mamnoon Hussain and Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu on the sidelines of OIC Summit in Istanbul.
The President said Turkish entrepreneurs and businessmen could invest in different sectors of Pakistan including energy and infrastructure projects.
Prime Minister Davutoglu assured President Mamnoon Hussain that Turkey would encourage its companies to invest in Pakistan.
They also noted that bilateral trade volume between Pakistan and Turkey needs to be increased in view of their exemplary relations.
The two leaders agreed that terrorism poses a major challenge and there is need for collective efforts to address the threat.
They emphasized that Islamic countries should resolve their differences through dialogue. =DNA
