Pakistan move up to third place in ICC T20 Team Rankings
DUBAI, MAY 02, (DNA) – Pakistan have moved up to third place in latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Twenty20 Team Rankings.
According to details, ICC World Twenty20 2009 winner Pakistan have gained five points and joined England on 121 points. However, the Green Shirts are ranked behind the ICC World Twenty20 2010 winner by a fraction of a point as England hold the second spot and Pakistan are at third.
New Zealand lost two points but have still maintained their position at the top of the table with 125 points. India have slipped down two places after losing six points, and are at fourth spot with 118 points.
South Africa are at fifth ranking with 111 points, and Australia at sixth with 110. West Indies, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Bangladesh complete the top ten with 109, 95, 90 and 78 rating points respectively.
It is worth mentioning here that Australia and the next nine highest-ranked teams on ICC T20 Team Rankings will qualify automatically for the ICC World Twenty20 2020 which will be staged in Australia.=DNA
