Pakistan condemns powerful car suicide attack in Kabul

ISLAMABAD, Aug. 23 (DNA): Pakistan has condemned the car suicide bombing in the Afghan capital that killed at least 12 people including three American contractors and injured over 60.Reports suggest the powerful bomb exploded near a NATO convoy and in a residential area of Kabul Saturday eveningAfghan Taliban spokesman, Zabihullah Mujahid denied involvement. No other group has claimed responsibility.“Pakistan condemns, in the strongest terms, the suicide attack that took place near a hospital in Kabul this afternoon which resulted in the loss of precious lives and left many people injured,” the Foreign Office said. “The abominable act of targeting innocent civilians reflects the cowardice of the terrorists. It strengthens our resolve to continue our struggle of countering terrorism in all of its forms,” a statement said.
The Foreign Ministry said Pakistan reiterate its resolve to closely coordinate with the Government of Afghanistan in this fight against the common enemy.
“We standby with our brotherly people of Afghanistan in this moment of grief and convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved families,” the statement said. DNA
