Pakistan condemns ‘organized’ attacks
ISLAMABAD: Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri has condemned organized attacks on Pakistani troops along the Pak-Afghan border and considers such acts as detrimental to ongoing peace and stability along the frontier.
Responding to some media queries regarding attack on Pakistani troops in Zhob District, he said around 20 terrorists carried out attack on Pakistan fencing party this morning using small arms and heavy weapons, which resulted in martyrdom of four Pakistani soldiers and serious injuries to six.
Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said Afghanistan’s Embassy in Islamabad has been asked to convey Pakistan’s concerns to the relevant Afghan authorities to undertake effective measures against organized groups of terrorists operating from the Afghan soil follow mutually agreed protocols and SOPs and avoid recurrence of such incidents in future.
