NEWCOMER ASCENDANT SURPRISESPAKISTAN WITH 200+ BUDGET HOTELS IN 14 CITIES
(KARACHI, (DNA) – Sensitive to the lack of consistency in Pakistan’s fragmented budget accommodation segment, Ascendant has teamed up with established hotel operator Hotel One and is pleased tomake hundreds of the best budget hotels offering Free Wi-Fi, reliable Air Conditioning, Clean Washrooms, and “Book Now, Pay Later” available to millions of Pakistanis through its online and mobile reservation platforms found atwww.roomph.pk.
“Since the start of the year, our 30+ regional account managers have visited nearly 1,000 small hotels and guest houses from Gwadar to Gilgit and signed up more than 550 for a free website, booking engine, and channel manager enabling global connectivity,” said Andre Privateer, CEO, Ascendant. “Along the way we found beautiful hotels and others lacking the basics and hand-picked the best ones to provide quality and consistency for Pakistan’sincreasingly demanding and increasingly mobile traveller.”
“The Hashoo Group has always been a first mover with respect to technology and committed to a multi-year agreement with Ascendant to unite our hospitality management systems through a central reservations platform that will unite all our properties and brands enabling next-level guest relationship and loyalty,” said Haseeb Gardezi, COO, Hospitality Division, Hashoo Group. “So, when Andre approached us with the idea to reinforce the Hotel One brand promise on a larger platform supporting hotels and guest houses in secondary and tertiary markets, we were delighted to take part.”
In keeping with the new Government’s initiatives encouraging private sector uplift, the multi-year partnership between Ascendant and the Hashoo group provides the funding required to underwrite the cost of connecting thousands of small hotels and guest houses making their rooms bookable online for tourists coming to Pakistan from around the world.
