Nepalese and Pakistani artists fuse music to celebrate Pakistan-Nepal relations

ISLAMABAD, MAR 29, (DNA) – To celebrate the 56th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Nepal, the embassy of Nepal in collaboration of Pakistan National council of the Arts(PNCA) organized musical evening here at PNCA auditorium.
Nepalese musician Anand Karki and Ms. Prashna Shakya presented popular songs of Nepal and also sung popular Pakistani songs. Pakistani musician Farukh Mehdi presented Pakistani songs as well as Nepalese songs. Artists of both countries also presented fusion of Nepalese and Pakistani music.
Director General, PNCA Syed Jamal Shah in his welcome remarks stressed the need of expansion of cultural and artistic exchange and collaboration between the two countries.
Sartaj Aziz, Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign relation was the chief guest of the musical evening. Pakistan has productive bilateral relation with based on shared culture, heritage and history. We have stood by each other on all international forums and have been extending people to people interaction and cultural exchange, he added.
Ambassador of Nepal to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ms. Sewa Lamsal Adhikari in her address stressed the need to expand the bilateral relation between the two countries including culture and arts.=DNA
