Nawaz Sharif cancels visit to family of boy killed in PML-N rally

LAHORE, AUG 19 (DNA) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s tour of Lalamusa and Wazirabad has on Saturday been cancelled owing to security threats.
The ousted premier was scheduled to condole with the family of Hamid Chughtai, a 12-year-old boy who was killed by a vehicle of his motorcade during the GT Road homecoming rally in Gujrat.
Nawaz Sharif had to address a rally in Wazirabad as well during his tour. The workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) were displeased with him for not visiting Wazirabad during the GT Road rally.
The mass meeting in Wazirabad has been called off, walkthrough gates are removed and security forces have gone back.
