Nawaz Sharif asks all to weigh in for timely elections

JATI UMRA (DNA) – The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Nawaz Sharif said on Monday that everyone should show seriousness for timely occurrence of the 2018 general elections.
The sacked premier met the National Assembly (NA) speaker Ayaz Sadiq at his Jati Umra residence. He was briefed on the reforms for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
Talking at this occasion, Nawaz Sharif gave his opinion about the upcoming general elections. “Everyone should show seriousness for timely elections,” he said while demanding of the supremacy of the law and stability of democratic institutions.
Apart from the FATA reforms, Ayaz Sadiq briefed his party head on delimitations and other issues of relevance. He took Nawaz Sharif into interest regarding these issues and made him aware of the parliamentary affairs.
It was conveyed that the ruling PML-N is in contacts with all political powers as they hope to soon accomplish the lawmaking process.
The ex-PM directed the NA speaker to strengthen democracy by establishing contacts with the democratic forces. He asked to take the senior leadership into interest on important issues.
