Model turned writer Annie Ali Khan found dead in her apartment
KARACHI: (DNA) – Former model and writer Annie Ali Khan was found dead after her apartment was set ablaze on Saturday.
the tragic incident on social media, stating his lamentation on her demise.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) South Omer Shahid Hamid, she was found with burnt appearance in her appartment in Qasr-e-Zainab near Karachi Gymkhana, adding that it was an apparent suicide, a local news source reported.
He said the body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where doctors confirmed she had died of suffocation (asphyxia).
He added that Annie lived alone in her apartment.
Annie Ali Khan was a writer and freelance journalist. Her work has appeared in RIC Journal, The Caravan, Vantage, Marie Claire U.S., Herald, Tanqeed, The Asia Society website and other Pakistani publications.
