ISLAMABAD — In a tragic incident on Ninth Avenue, Pakistan Air Force officer Group Captain Asim embraced martyrdom while courageously intervening to protect a woman from harassment.
According to initial reports, Group Captain Asim was passing through the area when he noticed a woman struggling to free herself from a motorcyclist who was pulling her hand. Acting as a responsible citizen, he turned back and stopped near the motorcycle. The woman managed to run to the other side of the vehicle, but the confrontation escalated.
The alleged assailant, identified as Saad, began arguing with Group Captain Asim and within moments opened fire. The officer sustained critical injuries and succumbed shortly afterward. The suspect fled the scene.
