Kashmiris observe Black Day today

SRINAGAR, OCT 27 (DNA) – Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control (LoC) and all across the world will observe Black Day on (Friday) to reiterate their pledge to continue the liberation struggle against India’s illegal occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
The call for the observance of the black day has been given by Hurriyet leaders including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Gilani, Shabbir Ahmed Shah and Muhammad Yasin Malik.
It was on this day in 1947 when Indian troops invaded Jammu and Kashmir and occupied it in total violation of the Partition Plan and against the aspirations of Kashmiris.
Kashmiris will mark this day with complete shutdown in the occupied territory and and will take out rallies in the world capitals. Call for the shutdown has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik and supported by other pro-freedom organizations and High Court Bar Association.
