JIT members to be made witnesses in NAB references against Sharif family
ISLAMABAD, AUG 07 (DNA) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to make six members of Panama Joint Investigation Team (JIT) as main witnesses in the four references against Sharif family.
Sources told that NAB will record statements of JIT members that include Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Additional Director General Wajid Zia, Military Intelligence’s Brig Kamran Khurshid, National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) Director Irfan Naeem Mangi, State Bank of Pakistan’s Amer Aziz, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s (SECP) Executive Director Bilal Rasool and Inter-Services Intelligence’s Brig Muhammad Nauman Saeed.

In its judgment in the Panama Papers case on July 28, a five-member Supreme Court bench had directed NAB to file references against Nawaz Sharif, his children and son-in-law Capt (r) Muhammad Safdar before the Accountability Court within six weeks on the basis of the material collected and referred to by the JITin its report and such other material.
“In case the Accountability Court finds any deed, document or affidavit filed by or on behalf of the respondent(s) or any other person(s) to be fake, false, forged or fabricated, it shall take appropriate action against the concerned person in accordance with law,” the court stated.
