Imran slams Sharif for attacking judiciary

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Wednesday took a swipe at former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for railing at the judiciary.
Reacting to Sharif’s outburst against judges after dismissal of his plea to merge three corruption reference against him into one, Khan said in a tweet, “Nawaz Sharif should be ashamed of himself for openly attacking SC judges simply because they exposed his ill-gotten money & corruption.”
Speaking to reporters after his appearance before the accountability court today, the former prime minister severely criticized the judiciary, saying his family was denied a fair trial.
He said,“Their (judges) malice and wrath is manifested in their words. This wrath and words will become a dark chapter of the history,” he said.
Sharif further said the judiciary had written several dark chapters in the Pakistan’s history and this verdict too will be written in dark letters.
The accountability court on Wednesday rejected a requested made by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for a single trial on all the three references filed against him by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
