ISLAMABAD: Dead body of the famous religious figure and Naat Khwan Junaid Jamshed, who lost his life in December 7 crash of a PIA plane, has been identified.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad confirmed that Junaid Jamshed’s body has been identified through his face X-Ray and his teeth history. DC Islamabad added that the body will soon be handed over to the Junaid’s family.

Junaid Jamshed’s brother Humayun Saeed told media that the singer-turned-preacher’s funeral prayers will be held in Moeen Khan Academy DHA and he will be buried in Darul Uloom Korangi.

Humayun Jamshed claimed that Junaid had expressed desire to be buried in Darul Uloom Karachi, a religious seminary.

Pop singer-turned-religious preacher Junaid Jamshed and one of his wives lost their life in a plane crash on December 7.

Jamshed along with 46 others, boarded flight PK-661 from Chitral. The plane was to reach Islamabad but it crashed near Havelian village of Punjab. The crash killed all on board.=DNA
