ISLAMABAD, MAY 30 (DNA) – Son of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif, Hussain Nawaz is likely to reappear before the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed to investigate Panama Leaks Tuesday (today) citing that he neither answered the questions nor put forth the record.
The JIT has stated that he is needed to reappear on Tuesday to meet the prerequisites of what provision of justice entails in the issue. Hussain has been ordered to submit record and record statement during his appearance before the JIT today.
According to the notice issued, Hussain Nawaz was served the final notice on May 25 to make an appearance on May 28. However, he is not cooperating in the probe despite shortage of time, according to the JIT.
Earlier, the apex court rejected Hussain’s reservations and stated that no member of the JIT, constituted to probe Sharif family’s offshore assets, would be altered.
The special bench of the apex court comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Hassan heard the case the other day. The Supreme Court further directed the JIT to continue probe as per law.=DNA
