Five more women hurt in Karachi knife attacks, police search continues
KARACHI, OCT 05 (DNA) – The mystery behind a spate of knife attacks on women in Karachi remained unsolved as the attacker carried out fresh assaults in other parts of the city, apparently changing tactics to attempt more acts of terrorizing people on Thursday.
The police yet to unveil the motive behind the stabbings as the attacker has been still at large.
Extending his reach to other areas of the metropolis, the attacker assailed five more women with knife in a span of few hours on Wednesday (yesterday). The fresh attacks were carried out in Gulshan-e-Jamal, Rashid Minhas Road, and NIPA Chowrangi near Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology.
The Law Enforcement Agencies are of opinion that all the attacks were carried out by a single person. However, the officials are yet to make a comment on the motive behind the assaults.
The attacker apparently posing a challenge to the security officials, who is yet to be nabbed by the security agencies.
After combing through various Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage, police revealed that the assailant on a motorcycle, wearing a helmet, using sharp objects like paper cutter and knife to carry out the assaults on women.
