KARACHI, DEC 12, (DNA) – Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W) is being celebrated across the country with religious fervor on Monday (today).

Mehfil-e-Milads are being organized while processions will be taken out across the country to celebrate the birthday of the Hazrat Mohammad (S.A.W).

The main processions in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi will be organised on MA Jinnah Road.

A procession will be taken out at 2:30pm and its route will be: Shaheed Masjid Kharadar, Plastic Market, Denso Hall, Light House, Jamia Cloth, Saeed Manzil, Frere Chowk, left turn from Nasira School and then to Masjid-e-Gulzar-e-Habib.

Another procession at 2:30 pm will start from Memon Masjid and then proceed towards M.A. Jinnah Road, Tibet Center, Regal Chowk, Sharah-e-Liaquat, Fresco Chowk and then to Aram Bagh Masjid.

A procession will start at 3:00pm from Memon Masjid and then head towards M.A. Jinnah Road, Tibet Center, Numaish and then to Nishtar Park.

When the main procession on M.A. Jinnah Road will proceed from Shaheed Masjid Kharadar and Memon Masjid, vehicular traffic from the side of Lea Market, Agha Khan Jamat Khana, Kharadar, Crane Chowrangi and Mai Kolachi will not be allowed to proceed to M.A. Jinnah Road and diverted to an alternate road.

Mosques and residential buildings at nearly every street of the country have been decorated with colorful lightings.

Strict security measures have been taken ensure no untoward incident takes place throughout the day. Procession routes have been sealed with containers while police officers would also perform security duties across the country.

A 21-gun salute was given by the Pakistan Army in many cities of the country on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W).=DNA
