DSP shot dead in Peshawar

PESHAWAR, DEC 10, (DNA) – A Deputy Superintendent was on Saturday shot dead and his son was severely injured by unknown gunmen,
Riaz-ul-Islam was going to the mosque with his son, when three armed assailants opened fire at him three times at the Charsadda Road. His son was also injured in the incident and has been shifted to hospital in a critical situation.
This is said to be the third assassination attempt on Riaz, who has earlier survived a gun and bomb attack. He was involved into counter-terror activities.
Police reached the site of the incident to gather evidences for initial investigation. They cordoned the area and have started a search operation.=DNA
