CPEC to create new business opportunities: Envoy

ISLAMABAD: The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will create new business opportunities for enterprises in many economic sectors.
Talking to media, Chinese ambassador Sun Weidong said the project was at the center of the agreements signed during President Xi Jinping’s visit to Pakistan in April.
He said, besides energy, the project also involves wide cooperation in fields like agriculture, finance and industrial parks.
The main objective of the CPEC is to create a three thousand kilometers economic corridor between the port of Gwadar in Pakistan and Xinjiang in northwest China.
Construction of roads, railways and pipelines across Pakistan is expected to take around 15 years.
