Constable opened fire at SHO in Quetta, 3 killed
QUETTA: Three policemen, including a station house officer (SHO) and a constable, were killed during an altercation near Eastern Bypass area of Quetta on Tuesday.
According to initial police reports, SHO Noor Bux Mengal and a constable exchanged hot words.
The constable opened fire on the SHO, whose guards engaged in retaliatory firing, Superintendent Police Sariyab Abdullah Jan Afridi said.
The SHO, constable, and one other cop were killed on the spot and their bodies shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for post-mortem.
Police reached the spot and an investigation into the matter is underway.
