COAS confers awards to troops for acts of gallantry in Zarb-e-Azb
RAWALPINDI, 14 APR, (DNA) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has awarded accolades and praised army officers and soldiers over excellent performance in Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Thursday.
COAS has awarded Tamgha-e-Basalat to 35 officers and soldiers; other 35 officers were also awarded with Sitara-e-Imtiaz Military while 5 officers have been awarded with United Nations (UN) Medal.
A large number of military officials and relatives of Shuhada and Ghazis attended the ceremony.
Medals of Shuhada were received by their family members. After the ceremony, COAS interacted with wards of Shahuada and spent time with them. =DNA
