Civil awards approved for 78 martyrs and Ghazis in recognition of sacrifice and bravery
ISLAMABAD, AUG 8 /DNA/ – Approval has been granted to confer civil awards on martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the motherland and ghazis who demonstrated exceptional courage and bravery.
The meeting of the special committee on Gallantry Awards was chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi. The committee approved civil awards for 78 individuals in various categories.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that encouraging those who sacrifice their lives for the country and nation and those who demonstrate exceptional courage is a national responsibility. He said that the motherland remains indebted to the martyrs and ghazis for their unforgettable sacrifices.
Mohsin Naqvi further said that the great sacrifices of martyrs and ghazis are a precious national asset.
Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Secretary Interior, Director General FIA, Additional Secretary Cabinet, and other relevant officials attended the meeting. Representatives from all four provinces participated in the meeting via Zoom.
