Chairman CDA holds meeting with Ulema
ISLAMABAD, OCT 26 (DNA) – Role of Ulema remained exemplary in the development of city and maintaining its peace.
Suggestions of ulema will be given preference in future development initiatives to make Islamabad a model city.
These views were expressed by Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, Capital Development Authority (CDA), Sheikh Anser Aziz during a meeting with a delegation of renowned Ulema and religious scholars from Islamabad.
The delegation comprised of Molana Ishaq, Molana Aziz Ur Rehman, Molana Abdul Qadous Abbasi, Molana Abudl Hakeem and other renowned scholars from different schools of thought met mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA here at CDA headquarters on Wednesday.
Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman, CDA, Sheikh Anser Aziz said that Ulema have always supported the decisions and initiatives taken for the development of the city.
He said that provision of all basic facilities in different mosques would be ensured. He further said that Islamabad all issues, including issues of mosques that are being affected due to road expansion projects and their shifting is unavoidable, would be resolved amicably with mutual consultation.
He further said that Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and CDA will involve Ulema in future awareness campaigns to achieve desired results.
On this occasion delegation assured full cooperation in future development of the city. Ulema said that they will continue to serve the Islam and will not be the part of any political activity.
They lauded the steps taken by present Government for the development of the country particularly for making Federal Capital a model city and said that they will fully cooperate with the CDA and MCI.=DNA
