Boy dies after falling into open manhole in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, 01 JAN, (DNA) – A 16-year-old boy died after falling into an open manhole in Islamabad on Friday.
The tragic incident occurred near the boy Arbab Ali’s house at Abpara Chowk where he slipped and fell into an open manhole.
The boy was shifted to Polyclinic hospital in injured condition where he died during treatment.
The relatives of the boy termed the incident as negligence of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and protested while placing the body at Abpara Chowk.
The protesters were of the view that CDA is playing with the lives of people whilst leaving open the manhole and not installing any street lights.
Besides this the protesters demanded action against the responsible and dismissal of chairman CDA.
Moreover, the residents also appealed the government for financial aid for the victim’s family. =DNA
