Pakistan will give befitting response to misadventures: Jalil Abbas
ISLAMABAD, 26 SEP, (DNA) – Pakistan Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani on Monday said Pakistan wanted peace and stability in the region but every misadventures from across the border will be given a befitting response.
Speaking at the inaugural sub-convention of the Pakistani-American Community, at East West University, Chicago, he said Pakistan’s defence had become impregnable over the years.
He said that Pakistan has successfully conducted counterinsurgency operations and reversed the tide of extremism.
Jalil Abbas dispelled the impression that Pakistan had been isolated in the international community and referred to recent meetings of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in New York with his counterparts from UK, China, New Zealand, Iran and the US.
He urged the Pakistani-American Community to play their due role in building positive image of Pakistan. =DNA
