Azerbaijan, Spain explore enhancing economic cooperation
BAKU, Apr 22: As part of its visit to Spain, a delegation from Azerbaijan led by Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev attended the Spain-Azerbaijan roundtable, the Second Spanish-Azerbaijani Strategic Economic Dialogue, and held meetings with Spanish officials.
Addressing the Spain-Azerbaijan roundtable in Madrid, the Azerbaijani Deputy Economy Minister briefed the participants on Azerbaijan’s favorable business environment, highlighting the great potential for advancing joint activities in trade, investment, energy, transport-logistics, agriculture, technology, and other areas.
The Second Spanish-Azerbaijani Strategic Economic Dialogue saw the adoption of a roadmap envisioning a partnership between Azerbaijan and Spain covering trade, investment, transport-transit, and other areas.
Deputy Economy Minister Aliyev also met with several Spanish officials, namely Amparo Lopez Senovilla, State Secretary for Trade, Pedro Puy Fraga, President of the Committee on Economy, Trade and Digital Transformation of the Congress of Deputies, and Jaime Lillo Lopez, Executive Director of the International Olive Council.
During these meetings, the discussions focused on cooperation in trade, investment, and technologies, as well as fostering ties between the business circles of both countries.
