Australia beat Pakistan by 57 runs

ADELAIDE, JAN 26 – Australia on Thursday beat Pakistan in the last one day match by 57 runs.
David Warner’s rapid batting fired Australia past 250 without any loss of wickets against Pakistan in the fifth ODI at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday.
Warner smashed the fastest century of his career off 78 balls, and looked well on course to reach a double hundred as Pakistan bowlers appeared helpless.
Opener Travis Head neared his own century as Australia scored the highest partnership in their ODI history with 261 without any loss.
Captain Steven Smith earlier won the toss for the fifth time in the series and elected to bat first.
For the last ODI both sides made one change in their respective playing 11.
All-rounder James Faulkner is in for opening batsman Usman Khawaja, whereas Imad Wasim due to a finger injury has been rested and replaced by fast bowler Wahab Riaz.
Australia have already won the series.
“For a lot of people it might seem like a dead rubber, but there’s still a lot to play for, especially individually,” all-rounder Glenn Maxwell said yesterday.
“There’s still a lot of Champions Trophy (ICC tournament in the UK next June) places up for grabs which is in the distance, and there’s still a New Zealand series around the corner as well.=DNA
