All schools to observe security guidelines issued by govt: Tariq

ISLAMABAD, , 03 FEB, (DNA) – Minister of State for Capital Administration & Development Division (CA&DD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhary has directed the owners of the private schools to ensure the implementation of the security guidelines issued by the government.

The Minister of State issued these directions during a meeting with representatives of private schools to review the security arrangement in the schools in Islamabad today

A meeting to review the security arrangement in the schools operating in the Federal Capital was held here in Islamabad on Wednesday. Chairman PEIRA and representatives of all major schools operating in Islamabad federal areas were present in the meeting

While highlighting the importance of security arrangement in educational institutions Dr.Tariq Fazal said that security of schools is a sensitive matter. We have to cope up with this challenge with better preparedness and adopting safety measures as conveyed to schools by the government, the MOS continued. He also assured the private education institutions that government is not only proving guideline, all necessary assistance is also being extended from these schools.

The Minister of State lauded the contribution of private schools in education sector; he however emphasized the need for increases coordination and collaboration. He said that all government school of Islamabad remained open during last week. This decision was taken in consultation with Interior Ministry and district administration, he added. “Some private schools owner announced to close their schools without consultation with PEIRA or CADD Ministry. This created a lot of confusion and uncertainty among the parents, student and general public, the Minister of State observed.

He said that private institution cannot close their institutions without consultation of the government. If any such situation arises decision will be taken with consensus of all stake holders so that such panic situation as appeared during last week should not re-appear. =DNA
