Kaira appointed as PPP President Punjab
LAHORE: Former federal minister Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira has been appointed as President of the Pakistan People’s Punjab in Punjab.
The decision was made during a meeting the provincial coordination committee chaired by Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
Qaira, addressing the media after the appointment, thanked the party leadership for the responsibility. He said that the PPP was a reality rather a tradition, whereas other parties have risen and fell with the passage of time.
He vowed that the PPP will re-emerge in Punjab with full force and vigour, and the party will overcome the tough times being faced nowadays.
Qaira said that no other party does the round of consultations as the PPP. He confirmed that consultations are underway for other party office-bearers in the province.=DNA
