Top US commander lauds Pak Army role
RAWALPINDI, 09 MAY (DNA) – General Joseph L. Votel, incoming commander United States Central Command (US CENTCOM) Monday lauded the role of Pakistan Army for bringing peace and stability in the region.
He was talking to General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ, the ISPR said. During the meeting matters of mutual and professional interests with special emphasis on ecurity situation in Afghanistan came under discussion.
Earlier, on arrival at General Headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army presented Guard of Honour to the visiting dignitary. General Joseph L. Votel also laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e- Shuhada to pay homage to Pakistan Army shuhada. DNA
