Isb police seize huge quantity of liquor
ISLAMABAD, 03 JAN (DNA) – Islamabad Police have arrested 10 outlaws from various areas of the city including a power pilferer and recovered wine, heroin, weapons and stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said.
Following the special directions of SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani, DSP Saddar Circle Muhammad Idrees Rathor, Station House Officer of Tarnol Inspector jamshed Khan, Ghulam Habib Sub-Inspector, Muhammad Hussain ASI along with police team raided New Abadi Sangjani and arrested a bootlegger for having 640 liter wine, 14 plastic cane, two sacks of wine bottles at his hideout
A car bearing registration number LEA-6445 was also recovered from there. The nabbed person was identified as Noman khan s/o Naseer-ud-Din resident of district Haripur. Under the supervision of AC Shalimar, a police team raided in sector F-11/1 in the house of Malik Tariq and recovered 1779 bottles wine, 666 tins of beer and 740 litter wine. Further-more Karachi Company police arrested 03 accused Ikhaq,Zulfqar, Nadeem Ejaz and recovered two 30 bore pistols along with ammunition from their possession. Sabzi Mandi police arrested drug pusher Safdar and recovered 120 gram heroin from him.
Police also arrested accused Shahbaz and recovered stole mobile phone from him. Shams- Colony police apprehended Said Rehman involved in decanting gas in cylinder illegally. Police Team also arrested two afghan nationls Awal Gul and Bakhati Khan for their illegal stay in country.
Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and curb activities of anti-social elements. DNA
