Motorway Police recover stolen car, arrest culprits
ISLAMABAD, 29 JUNE (DNA) – National Highways & Motorway Police recovered a stolen car, money and arrested 03 culprits in two different episodes.
As per details, Islamabad Police sought Motorway Police assistance for recovery of a Corolla Car No. LXO-9090, Model 2000 stolen from I-9 Police Station area.
An alert message was passed on to all the patrolling vehicles of NH&MP. Motorway Police officers SPO Naeemullah and PO Muhammad Razaq spotted the suspect vehicles on Motorway (M-1) near Burhan and signaled to stop.
The vehicle did not stop and try to flee away. The vehicle was chased and stopped.
The thief namely Waqar Hussain S/o Bakhtiar Hussain resident of Peshawar was arrested and took the car in to their custody.
In other incident, during patrolling a commuter namely Sultan Zeb R/o Sawat informed Motorway Police officers SPO Javed Mustafa and PO Muhammad saleem on Motorway (M-1) in the area of Sawabi that he was taking bath in a canal in the meanwhile two persons in a corolla car No. IDK- 5522 stole Rs. 27000/- from his parked pick-up No. Peshawar C-4237.
The officers immediately chased and stopped the said vehicle and arrested two culprits namely Rahmatullah s/o Abdul Jalal and Shah Jee s/o Akbar resident of Mardan.
The Stolen money of Rs. 27000/- alongwith 550 Dirhams, 04 stolen Mobiles and 09 different types of keys were recovered. The culprits alongwith recovered items were handed over the concerned Local Police for further legal action. DNA
