Portal for Pakistani students to enhance cooperation: Pak envoy
BEIJING, Mar 8 /DNA/ – Pakistan Ambassador to China Moin ul Haque said that launching a portal to facilitate the Pakistani students and professionals would enhance linkages among Pakistani students, experts, and Chinese professionals, China Economic Net (CEN) reported on Tuesday.
He further said that it’s a portal connecting Pakistani professionals in China as well as students and the main objective is to give them a platform where they can come together to discuss various issues they are facing, what they are doing in China, what their achievements are in China and can share their experiences.
The ambassador mentioned that it is the first portal of this kind to gather Pakistani scholars, academicians, professionals and intelligentsia in general on one platform for constructive sharing of innovative thought.
“I hope the participants will seize the opportunity to build a better community. Learning and growing in wisdom and tolerance is what being here is all about, and I encourage the visitors to take a glimpse of the portal – a space filled with research innovations, artistic explorations and community celebrations,” he added.
It is to be noted that Pakistani Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi and the Pakistani ambassador inaugurated this portal named “Portal for Pakistani Students and Professionals in China” on February 6 to facilitate the Pakistani students and professionals in China.
The Portal is a pioneer initiative of the Pakistan Embassy in Beijing. The participants can visit Pakistan Embassy’s website as well as https://studentsinchina.pk for updates.
“In this portal, another important area is to post their CVs and we will circulate that information to the Chinese enterprises. So, if there’s any opportunities for our professionals to get jobs here, that can be facilitated through this portal”, Moin stated.
“I have been told that in this one month, almost 1000 students already had registered in this portal. We are very happy that this portal has been well received, supported and facilitated by the community”, the Pakistani ambassador told CEN.
