Russia warns Myanmar sanctions could spark ‘full-blown civil conflict’
MOSCOW: Opposing sanctions against the army in Myanmar, Russia has warned that punitive measures could spark a large-scale civil war in the country.
According to Russian foreign ministry spokesperson, a course towards threats and pressure including the use of sanctions against the Myanmar authorities has no future.
The spokesperson said such policies would push the people towards a full-blown civil conflict.
