PM Imran’s Karachi visit cancelled owing to bad weather
ISLAMABAD, Mar 07 (DNA): Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Karachi on Saturday was cancelled due to the inclement weather, PM office media wing in a press release said.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was schedule to visit Karachi, today, but the trip was cancelled due to continuous rain in Islamabad and the premier’s aircraft was not allowed to take-off due to weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan on Saturday also announced that Prime Minister’s Karachi visit has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
In a tweet she said that Governor Sindh Imran Ismail would inaugurate the development projects on behalf of the Prime Minister. She said that Karachi was financial hub of Pakistan and it was vision of the PM to
convert it into a modern developed city.
The Prime Minister had to inaugurate different development projects during the visit, including inaugural of Sakhi Hassan Flyover and 5-Star Flyover and KDA Flyover.
The projects of Rehabilitation of Nishtar Road and Rehabilitation of Manghopir road were also to be inaugurated by the premier.
Prime Minister Imran Khan was scheduled to get briefing to review progress on different federal funded development projects and public welfare schemes in Sindh during the visit. DNA
