Karachi University VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan passes away

KARACHI (DNA) – University of Karachi’s Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan on Saturday has passed away.
He was suffering from cardiovascular disease and was admitted to a private hospital after he felt pain in his chest on Friday night. The educationist’s body will soon be sent to his residence from the hospital.
Prof Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan received Pride of Performance Award in 2001 and Sitara-e-Imtiaz in 2007.
He was also titled as a Distinguished National Professor in 2005 by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). He studied BSc (Hons) in Botany in 1973 and received degree of MSc in Plant Physiology in 1974 from University of Karachi.
