Pakistan Day parade: Section-144 imposed in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD, MAR 14, (DNA) – Security arrangements for March 23rd, Pakistan Day parade in the federal capital have been finalised while Section-144 have been imposed in the city on Tuesday.
Vacation of medics in nearby hospitals and those of administration’s officials have been cancelled while five seminaries near the parade ground have been sealed.
Deputy Commissioner, Captain (r) Mushtaq Ahmed presided over a meeting of law enforcement agencies to review security arrangements in the federal capital. The meeting was attended by officials of Islamabad Police, Capital Development Authority, Islamabad Electric Supply Company among those of other departments.
The participants agreed that personnel would go-through thorough security check of details of people staying in guest houses and hotels in the surroundings of the venue.
The administration and the police would form a joint control room in a hostel situated on Murree Road.
Metro bus service is to remain suspended until the evening on March 23.
