24th National Senior Judo Championship concluded
PESHAWAR, 01 JAN, (DNA) – 24th National Senior Judo Championship, initiated on 29th December 2015 at Qayyum Stadium Peshawar, concluded. The Championship was held in 10 different weight Categories in which all Province along with the affiliated units of Pakistan Judo Federation.
The Competitors of Pak Army and Wapda jolted in Competition hall.
Pak Army got 115 points by securing 4 Gold, 5 Silver and 1 Bronze medal, Wapda got 105 with 5 gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze, Railway with 3 Silver and 5 Bronze medals got 55 points while FATA got 25 points with 1 gold and 2 Bronze medals.
The spectators were astonished by FATA judoka Qaiser khan who has defeated to South Asian Championship Karamat butt in the championship
The Secretary General of Pakistan Judo Federation, Mr. Masood Ahmad said that after mutual consultation with Technical officials, Pak Army and Wapda declared winner of the Championship, because the points of Pak Army lead up by points from Wapda and WAPDA lead up by Medals from Pak Army, while Railway second and FATA declared third.
Senior Vice President of Pakistan Judo Federation and Chairman of ICMS, Mr. Malak Tajamul Hayat Khan was Chief guest to the Closing ceremony of the Championship. The Director PSB Coaching Centre, Peshawar, Mr. Muhib Ullah along with the enthusiastic member of PTI, Dr. Shehzada Urooj Awan was also present at the occasion.
Mr. Malak Tajamul Hayat Khan said that we appreciate the struggles of Pakistan Judo Federation for the promotion of Judo in Pakistan. The Championship, organized at Peshawar by Pakistan Judo Federation was not an easy task as they have made done all the necessities of the Championship in very short span of time since, as rescheduled to Peshawar from Karachi. =DNA
