IMF deal: US willing to help Pakistan

DNA ISLAMABAD: US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome wished for a deal between Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) assuring Washington’s willingness to support the country in its efforts to resume a stalled $6.5 billion bailout programme. Gold prices in Pakistan increased further on Wednesday after ongoing political unrest fired up the economic risks, driving investors towards the safety of precious metal that remains the best bet for some in uncertain times like these.
