Hong Kong ‘patriot’ elections on track for record low turnout

German defence minister backs stronger sanctions on Russia

German Defence Minister Christine Lambrecht on Sunday called for harsher sanctions against Russia over its troop deployment on the Ukrainian border, as she was set to visit Lithuania to inspect NATO troops.
