Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer passes away in Islamabad

Islamabad : Pakistan’s renowned nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan passed away in Islamabad on Sunday morning. He was 85. Dr Abdul Qadeer was admitted at a local hospital where his health deteriorated early this morning. Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan played an important role in making Pakistan a nuclear power. After learning of India’s nuclear test in 1974, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan joined his nation’s clandestine efforts to develop nuclear power.
