U.N urges United States to remove Iran sanctions

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has urged United States to remove sanctions on Iran as agreed in 2015. In a report to the U.N. Security Council, he also asked the United States to extend the waivers with regard to the trade in oil with Iran, and fully renew waivers for nuclear non-proliferation projects. Guterres said full restoration of the plan remains the best way to ensure that the nuclear programme of Iran remains exclusively peaceful

Islamabad : Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain says the world needs to act holistically to counter Islamophobia. In a tweet today (Wednesday), while expressing concern over an attack on a Muslim in Canada’s city of Saskatoon, he said this condemnable act shows the growing Islamophobia in the West. Germany completes troops pull-out from Afghanistan

Germany has completed its troop pull-out from Afghanistan as the US aims to complete its withdrawal by September 11. German Defence Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer, in a statement in Berlin, said after nearly 20 years of deployment, the last German soldier has left Afghanistan. According to the German Army, 59 German soldiers have been killed since 2001 in the course of their service in Afghanistan.


EU Military Committee’ Chairman appreciates Pakistan’s role in regional peace and stability
