Zalmay Khalilzad, COAS discuss regional security, Afghan reconciliation process

AWALPINDI (DNA ) – US Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad on Friday called on the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ in Rawalpindi. PIC suffers loss of Rs70 million due to lawyers’ attack

The government-run Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) has suffered a loss of Rs70 million, due to an attack by a group of lawyers, reveal PIC officials. Renowned Urdu journalist Shireen Dalvi returned her 2011 Special Prize by the Maharashtra State Urdu Sahitya Akademi in protest to the recently-passed, controversial Citizenship Amendment Bill in India. Lawyers’ body announces countrywide strike

LAHORE: The lawyers’ Joint Action Committee has announced a countrywide boycott of courts on Friday. The committee, which includes representatives from the Pakistan Bar Council, Supreme Court Bar and Lahore High Court Bar, was formed on emergency basis to devise the next course of action, post the escalating rift with doctors in Lahore.
