Bomb blast at the railways track, train derailed

UAE lodges complaint against Pakistan in WTO

ISLAMABAD, JAN 30 (DNA) – The United Arab Emirates has lodged a trade complaint at the World Trade Organization in Geneva on Monday to challenge Pakistan’s duties on biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film, used in food packaging, a WTO filing showed on Monday. The UAE said the anti-dumping duties, imposed on UAE , China, Oman and Saudi Arabia, from April 2015 and extended in December 2016, broke WTO rules. Petroleum Prices in Pakistan to be increased by Rs 10.25 per litre

LAHORE, JAN 30 (DNA) – The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended an increase in the price of petroleum products to the federal government. An increase of Rs2.98 for petrol has been recommended by OGRA , while kerosene oil has a suggested increase of Rs12.74 and Rs10.25 has been recommended for High-speed diesel. If approved by the Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, the prices will be applicable from February 1.

Supreme Court decides 100 years old land dispute case

ISLAMABAD, JAN 30 (DNA) – A land dispute was decided after 100 years on Tuesday. The case of a dispute over 5,600 kanals was filed in court in 1918. The Supreme Court of Pakistan took up the case in 2005. The case has been decided by the SC after 13 years. Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar has ordered to distribute the land among the heirs as per Shariah.
