Two policemen among seven injured in twin Chaman blasts

CHAMAN: (DNA) – At least seven people, two policemen among them, were wounded when two blasts hit Chaman’s Mall Road in Balochistan on Monday. According to the local police, the first blast occurred near an under-construction building off the Mall Road, injuring a person. When some people, including security officials, gathered at the site of the explosion, another blast occurred, resulting in injuries to them. Educational institutes reopen in Punjab, Sindh after winter vacations

KARACHI (DNA) – Educational institutions across Punjab and Sindh have reopened on the first day of 2018 (Monday) after winter vacations, but the attendance of students remained low. Government schools in Karachi have commenced their classes today but many private institutions are still closed. The students have expressed their wish to get more holidays. Let it be known that the Sindh government had announced 10-day winter vacations from December 22 to 31. Punjab government had also directed to keep the institutions closed till the last day of 2017.
