World XI beat Pakistan by seven wickets to level series
LAHORE, SEPT 13 (DNA) – Hashim Amla and Thisara Perera drove World XI to a nail-biting seven wicket victory against Pakistan in their second Independence Cup clash here at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium. World XI stroke back, after Pakistan won the first match, with Amla (72 for 55) and Perera (47 for 19)’s unbeaten stellar performances which eventually sealed the victory by chasing down 175 runs target. Perera also contributed with his bowling to level the three-match series by 1-1. Batting first, Pakistan put 174 on board against the star-studded team.
