Nurses continue protest on third day, demand health allowance

Woman burnt to death after refusing marriage proposal

MURREE, 01 JUNE (DNA) – A woman died on Wednesday after she was set on fire by a mob for refusing a marriage proposal in Murree. According to details, nineteen-year-old Maria, a schoolteacher, had refused to marry Shaukat, the owner of the school. Maria’s father said a mob, along with Shaukat, barged into their house Tuesday night and started beating her. The mob then doused Maria with petrol and set her on fire.
